Development of a measurement method for the noise exposure in the external auditory canal
Starting date
January, June or September 2016 (M.Sc.)
Description
The laboratory of industrial acoustics at ÉTS is developing, in partnership with l’Institut de Recherche Robert-Sauvé en Santé et Sécurité du Travail (IRSST), new methods and devices for measuring noise exposure levels in the auditory canal.
The M.Sc. project aiming at perfecting such a measurement system will be available as soon as January 2016. If you are interested in product development (prototyping, tests, ect.) and/or algorithm implementation (DSP programming, ect), this project is made for you !
Funding
This project is funded by IRSST. The student may also benefit from a university-business partnership grant (Industrial Innovation Scholarships Program – NSERC/FQRNT) or a grant from the Mitacs-Accelerate internships program as long as the eligibility criteria of the targeted program are met.
Other information
Various industrial partners from Québec, such as the company Sonomax specialized in the development of intra-auricular products, could be involved in this project. Click here for a PDF version of the post.
